# Run the budget on numbers from the field, in real time

One of the most expensive things on a construction project is information that arrives late.

Inspector shows the quantities actually built, the changes, the overruns and the budget in one place, so decisions rest on data rather than on estimates.

## What project managers keep running into

**Tracking tasks and blockers coming off the site.** When every report arrives from a different place, problems are not visible until they have already become delay.

**Controlling quantities, and splitting the work by phase or by area.** Without one system connecting the bill of quantities, the design and the execution, data gets lost and there is no transparency between teams and contractors.

**Design updates and instructions for extra work.** Every design change sets off a wave of manual updates, and the effect on the total budget is not visible while it still matters.

## What Inspector does about it

**Task management that holds up.** Tasks can be filed by location, element, date, subject or designer, and tracked from one board.

**Location-based documentation.** Photos, video and voice notes attached to a place, with alerts, status and reports shaped to what you actually report on.

**A live project estimate.** It updates as the design updates, and it can be cut by phase or by area so you can issue a bill of quantities for just the section you care about.

### From the field

The Ministry of Construction and Housing saved millions of shekels on a project budget after the system automatically flagged a discrepancy between the quantities the contractor reported and the as-built drawings.

### What makes it different

**Design and execution in one platform**, with every party on it.
**Verified data:** field reports carry a location and photographs.
**Automatic calculation:** quantities are computed rather than typed.

### Frequently asked questions

Can I split a project by phase or work area?

Yes. You cut the plan by phase or by area and the system issues a bill of quantities for that section alone. This is the part that usually has to be done by hand.

How does a design revision show up?

You upload the new file and the system recomputes and shows what changed, item by item, against the previous version. A design revision is a budget event, and it becomes visible as one.

Does it replace our project management software?

It replaces the part of it that deals with quantities, the field record and the money attached to them. Scheduling and procurement tools stay where they are.
